Multiplying Churches

in the GLD

Welcome to ReachNetwork in the Great Lakes District.  Whether you are interested in planting a church yourself, sending out a new congregation from your church, or helping some other way in church multiplication we are glad you stopped by.

The ReachNetwork is the multiplication ministry of the EFCA.  We aim to help you advance the gospel through the multiplication of disciples, leaders, and congregations here in the GLD and around the world.  We want everyone to have the opportunity to hear the gospel and respond in saving faith.

Brett Gleason

Director of Church Multiplication

It is my joy to serve as the Director of Church Multiplication here in the Great Lakes District of the EFCA's ReachNetwork.  My job is to help churches multiply and planters succeed in the mission field they sense God has called them to.

In Matthew 9:37-38 Jesus said, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”  I hope you will join me in this prayer and work

Church Planters

You sense that God is leading you to plant a church but you don't know where to start.  It all begins with discerning whether you are a church planter and whether now is the time to plant.  We help with this discernment process through our assessment system.

The journey continues through training, coaching, and care.  Church planting is hard and we don't want you to go at it alone.  That's why we come alongside you every step of the way.

Multiplying Churches

In the EFCA's ReachNetwork we believe that churches plant churches and that our role is to help you along the way.  It all begins with a conversation so that we can better get to know you, your church, your community, and how you sense the Lord is leading you.  Then, we come alongside with training for your leadership team, identifying a church planter or a pastor to launch your new campus, and coachign along the way.

We are praying for five churches to commit by the end of 2022 to plant a new congregation.  This could be a church plant, a new campus of a church, or a 2nd language congregation.
