Christ got a hold of an angry young women filled with chaos and gave her a life of order and peace. Her growth in Christ over the years has led Brenda Verstraete to be a Bible study leader, Awana Director, lay counselor and youth sponsor. Brenda hung up her roller blades to begin serving in women’s ministry and in 2011 she completed 11 years of joyfully serving as Director, Women’s Ministry at First EFC, Moline, IL.

Her passion is for women to know Christ; to know that there is hope in a sometimes-painful world; to reach out to other women and help them grow in a deeper, more intimate relationship with the Living God, and in turn share their lives with others.

As GLD Mobilizer, Brenda’s desire is for women in ministry to be connected across the district helping them be fruitful in ministry and multiply by equipping women to live Christ-centered, Great Commission/Great Commandment lifestyles.

Brenda and her husband, Terry, are both retired from Deere & Company and live in Moline, IL. They have 3 children, 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
