Bill was born Feb. 16, 1947 in Mobile, AL. He graduated form Central High School in June, 1965 and later that year enrolled in Xavier University in New Orleans, LA. Bill graduated with a B.S. degree from Xavier University College of Pharmacy in 1970. Because he was recruited by Osco Drugs as a staff pharmacist, he moved to Chicago immediately after graduation. Bill worked with Osco Drugs for a year before working as an out-patient staff pharmacist at the University of Illinois hospital for a year. Subsequently, he developed his own chain of 6 pharmacies on the south side of Chicago.

With the accepting of Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in 1977, he received his call to the pastoral ministry. In order to prepare for the ministry, he studied in Moody Bible Institute’s evening school for 3 years before pursuing the Masters of Divinity degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School which he received in 1986. In addition, Bill was granted the Masters of Theology degree in 1989 from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.

Since Bill’s burden was to plant a church, he was commissioned as a church planter by the GLD in 1985 and began that church plant ministry in 1986 which the Lord blessed and today is known as South Suburban EFC. Bill served South Suburban EFC as a tentmaking pastor for 16 years before joining the staff of the GLD as a regional superintendent. His 9 years of ministry with the GLD have been extremely gratifying as he has been able to pursue and bring to fruition his driving passion of being a pastor to pastor. Bills years as a solo tentmaking church planting pastor uniquely equipped him to related to and hence be able to minister to the needs of pastors.

Bill and his bride of 39 years (Diana) consider it their privilege and joy to serve our Lord as a part of the GLD staff. They likewise consider it their privilege and joy to be the parents of 3 grown children (Kwajalein Monique, William Jermaine, Kiante Trenice) and 6 wonderful grandchildren.
