In the good providence of God, Bob was born into a fine Christian family. His parents brought him up from early childhood to know and love the Lord and His Word. Through their godly influence and teaching, Bob committed his life to Jesus Christ as a young teenager on May 12, 1945. From that moment on his life has been an exciting adventure.

All through high school, college and seminary Bob traveled, sang and preached with a gospel quartet across large expanses of the country. Along the way, he earned a Bachelor of Arts from Providence Bible Institute and a Master of Divinity from Grace Theological Seminary. Later Bob received a Master of Arts from George Washington University in 1971 and a Doctor of Ministry from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in 1980.

Bob and Marilyn were married June 26, 1954. Inside their wedding rings they inscribed Acts 6:4 - a verse that has become the halmark of their lives together: "We will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the Word." God blessed them with 5 children, all of whom are actively serving the Lord today.

Following graduation from seminary, Bob was called as the first pastor to assist in planting the Bible Baptist Church in Syosset, NY. This was followed by pastorates in Beacon, NY, Great Falls, VA, Zion, IL and Cresskill, NJ. In 1996 he had completed 40 years in the pastorate. During many of these years, he also served as minister at large for Officers Christian Fellowship. He conducted discipleship seminars for cadets at their 4 military academies and ministered at conferences and retreats in approximately 30 countries all around the world.

In 1996 Bob was invited to join the faculty of Tyndale Theological Seminary in The Netherlands where he had the joy of training prospective pastors, missionaries and Christian educators from more than 40 different countries.

Since 2000 it has been Bob’s privilege and joy to serve as Regional Superintendent in the GLD for the State of Michigan. Bob helps build relationships with pastors and church leaders, serves as a resource to assist them, and helps revitalize and reinforce the job they are doing for the Lord. He is deeply honored to be part of the team God has assembled for this task.
