Double Vision

Doubling Your Church Size
& Samaritan Service

Double Vision is an application of the visionary leadership of Jesus in John 4 to see the "harvest in Samaria" and the parable of the talents in Matthew 25 to work together to double our size and Samaritan service in the next chapter of ministry.

Double Vision is a proposal for Great Lakes District EFCA churches to pray, preach, and partner as we trust God to double the GLD from 50,000 precious people in 2007 to 100,000 people and to double each church's resource allocation to their Samaria.

It is double vision because we will emphasize inward care and outward focus, prayer and preaching, evangelism and edification, adults and children, Jerusalem and Samaria, faithfulness and fruitfulness, quantitative and qualititative measurements. How can we work together to double in size and service?

Three Components:

Prayer

Prayer was the theme of the 2008 GLD Conference in St. Joseph Ministry.

Preaching

Join Pastor Colin Smith of the Orchard EFC for 6 weeks of half-day preaching worshops on "Preaching the Passion of Christ" from the gospel of Mark beginning Thursday, February 12, 2009.

Pastors & Leaders Learning Community

This community is designed for church leaders who have a heart to see their church double in size and Samaritan service.  It is a time for pastors and lay leaders to come together to be strengthened in their visionary leadership of the local church, in their skills to lead the local church, and in their strategic focus to serve the local church.

You are invited to all three of these components. However, you can pick and choose which initiatives you will be involved in.
